About the Creator
I'm a hopeless creative, priding my ability to tell stories of unfortunate souls. I don't chase trends. My works are focused in the gritty reality of humanity.
The expressions of my characters, though some may seem forced, is a direct representation of my own skills.
I push to hone my skills of storytelling by telling new, fresh ideas and basing my characters in the stakes surrounding those ideas.
The focus is the character.
I write horror to increase the stakes and highlight the lengths that people are willing to go to for survival.
I like to base in science fiction because the Earth is limited in surprising new landscapes. It's mostly familiar, habitable.
Whether I'm taking you to the Hadean glaciers of Pluto or recounting fond memories of Jovian innocence, the character and their plight is the focus.
Aside from creative endeavors, I am a bachelor trained registered nurse.
I currently work in Topeka, Kansas in Emergency Care. My passion is helping those less fortunate than myself and aim to help bolster my community for what lies ahead.
With the absence of specific forms of care in the Midwest, I endeavor to increase accessibility and education of nursing care to LGBTQ persons.
I believe it is the responsibility of mindful caregivers to expand their knowledge base and work to slash their biases.
I am not the perfect human, and I refuse to write them as such.
Certifications
BS, RN, BSN
Starting at UW-Tacoma, I transferred to K-State in Kansas where I attended the KSU-WSU Pathways to Nursing program. I graduated with a Bachelors in Life Sciences with minors in biology and psychology. A week prior, I graduated with my Bachelors in Nursing.
Emergency Certification
As part of standard operating procedure, my specific Emergency Department requires that all employees be certified in ACLS and PALS. Below are the listed certifications I have achieved:
- Trauma Nurse Core (TNCC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Plans for the Future
Throughout my career, I plan to get my Certified Emergency Nurse title and my Trauma Care Registered Nurse.
I am enrolled in Emergency Nursing Pediatric Care (ENPC) and plan to continue growing my skillset.
Eventually, I would like to go back to school to become an Emergency Nurse Practitioner and continue to provide care as a Mid-Level provider.
